Project Overview
The project aims to transform the construction industry into a more inclusive and equitable space for women by
addressing systemic gender biases through innovative Vocational Education and Training (VET) programmes.
Using a research-driven, systems-based approach, the initiative integrates curriculum reform, mentorship,
industry collaboration, and digital learning to break barriers and create sustainable change.

Bias-Free Education & Training
Develop inclusive VET curricula that counteract gender stereotypes and support women’s skill development

Increase Female Participation & Retention
Improve enrolment, completion rates, and long-term career sustainability for women in construction

Promote Industry-Wide Inclusivity
Collaborate with key stakeholders (construction firms, trade unions, and policymakers) to drive gender-inclusive policies and practices

Establish Support Networks
Build mentorship programmes, peer learning communities, and professional development platforms to empower women in the industry
